Environmental impact assessment

For installations that are listed in Annex 1 of the Environmental Impact Assessment Act (UVPG), it must be demonstrated in immission control approval procedures BImSchG that the construction and operation of the installation is not expected to have any harmful environmental impact on the protected assets.

Depending on the type of plant, a full environmental impact assessment or a general or site-specific preliminary assessment in accordance with the UVPG must be carried out.
